It's official! Aiden's going to Jacksonville to attend Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech. The plan is to have him attending by January 7th. To ensure this happens, we'll start the transfer process from the local school system during the first few weeks in December (so we can prevent any hang ups in the process). I’ll have to make final living arrangements to show residency in Duval County during this time as well. My employer has accepted my resignation effective January 4th and has been very supportive and encouraging.
We'd like to thank all contributors to our fundraising campaign, "Community Challenge - Raise the Bar" on Indiegogo. Although funding was well short of our goals, we’re going to follow through on our commitment to doing everything possible to meet Aiden’s needs. Your contributions will be used as promised – to cover expenses in Jacksonville so he can get the services he needs to thrive.
